Summertime always makes me nostalgic for the good-old-days. Granted I’m only 23, but I think of myself as a bit of an old soul. Nothing beats listening to music by the likes of Eric Clapton, reading a good book (one where you manually turn the paper pages) and strolling through a flea market filled with vintage and retro finds. It’s no surprise that I would be drawn to John W. Golden‘s retro style pingg collection. With so many fun designs, flying saucers, robots, headphones, roller skates and more, it was a difficult task choosing just one design for my Staff Pick. After much contemplation, I have chosen John’s “Golden Luna Camera” for this week’s Staff Pick.

It’s no surprise, I love the retro feel of this design, especially for a digital invitation or card. John’s style is simple yet filled with personality. I was drawn to the design with the camera as I have recently gotten back into photography. While my DSLR is a little more technologically advanced than the camera depicted, nothing beats a good old-fashion 35mm. The icing on the cake for me is the little tag line John includes on all of his designs. “I see what I see,” is the perfect line to compliment this design. Congratulations to John for having “Golden Luna Camera” be this week’s Staff Pick and for being the recipient of $50!
