5 Ways to Make Your Football Party Better Than Your Neighbor’s

You’ve moved the couches. You’ve set up the TV and the surround sound. You’ve put on your lucky game day shirt. The only problem is the loud chorus of cheers coming from your neighbor’s house. It interrupts the game you’re enjoying with the only guest still at your game day party. While Uncle Tim is great company, you and him both know he came for the recliner, not the game. So, how can you throw a game day party that will make you the talk of the town, the football lover’s hero, the champ?

Here is a list of five ways to make sure your football celebration is just as exciting as the game.

  1. Let people know ahead of time. Fellow fans are the most essential part of a good party. Don’t wait until the last minute to let people know where they should be on game day. Send them a quick invite from our Football Parties collection to whet their appetite for the game.
  2. Create a sacred space. Deck your furniture out it the colors of your favorite team by covering your tables with tablecloths or solid colored gift-wrap. Scatter balloons throughout the room to add more team color. Then grab the noisemakers and watch the fun unfold!

  3. Add a Martha Stewart touch. Martha knows a thing or two about entertaining, and football parties are no exception. She offers her wisdom and adds a touch of football to everything, down to the coasters.

  4. Watching sports always awakens the competitor inside you.  Set up short games to do during commercial breaks and half time. Instead of letting cousin Taylor brag about how much she knows about football, create a list of football trivia to ask during commercials.

  5. Step away from the kitchen. Let’s face it, your sliders are more like frozen meat disks tucked between a soggy bun. So, slide them in the trash and enter to win delicious game day snacks Harry and David through our Super Bowl® Party Package Giveaway.
