I came across Virginia Kraljevic‘s pen and ink work today, and couldn’t help but be drawn (pun intended) to these intricate pieces.
With a little ink, paper, and some imagination, there’s much to be dreamt up and created.
The smooth, flowing lines of this piece seem to make your eyes continue to circle around the design.
This piece is appropriately simple and straightforward, and is a neat example of pen and ink typography.
Merci, Table is just one of those drawings that you can look at for hours and still not notice every detail. I like how the simple lines used for the tablecloth are such a contrast from the content above it.
The addition of color and the clustering of the subjects in Buttons makes this piece pop, and kind of makes it look like an exploding sphere.
I like how the details of the sky are contained in what looks like a conversation bubble in this piece, and the inclusion of “what can you see?” beneath the scenery.
Are you feeling inspired to get your sketchbook out and grab the nearest pen?
