Monday, April 2nd, 2012
One of the most difficult tasks when planning a wedding is deciding who will sit by who. As entertaining conversations and a stress free environment is key to keeping your guests happy, it’s best to carefully set up seating to prevent any discomfort or confusion. Here are 5 top tips from Social Tables to make this process easier and more fun!
  • Make it easy for guests to find their seat! There are many creative options for escort cards and place cards, but make sure they are easy to spot and easy to read.  One of our favorites was seen at Amy Smart’s wedding.

Spring Feeling

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

Spring brings colorful flowers, fresh air, and an excitement for the warm weather activities to come. I’ve really gotten into the spirit of the season, so I decided to take a look at artwork featuring some spring icons.

Bright flowers just seem to say that spring is here.

A Little Touch of Green

Friday, March 16th, 2012

This week is all about the green! With St. Patrick’s Day falling on a coveted Saturday this year, it’s the perfect week to celebrate the luck of the Irish. So, I thought I’d take a look at some fantastic designers who are showing off their Irish pride!

Irish illustrator Mandi Cromer is the talent behind this first print featuring 40 shades of green. I love that her creativity and lightheartedness shines in this piece. To check out more of her work, take a look at her Etsy shop, Designbirdie.

Friday, February 10th, 2012

It’s the Friday before Valentine’s Day and I just couldn’t help but share some more artwork inspired by love! Here’s a few pieces that stood out to me this morning and got me in the mood to pop open a box of chocolates and candy hearts.

This design just shouts “I love you” with some sweet words and brightly bold text.

Art Crank Minneapolis by Allan Peters

Happy Monday everyone! I thought I’d kick off the week with a look at some amazing posters by graphic designer Allan Peters. His portfolio is full of fantastic typography and a client list including Target and Nike. My favorite is the above print, which was created for Art Crank Minneapolis – a poster show for people who love biking! You can check out more of his work on his Behance page.

A Look at Love

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012

February came upon us quickly! With February 14th only a few heartbeats away, I decided to take a look at some artwork inspired by love and Valentine’s Day.

What else says Valentine’s day (quite literally) like candy conversation hearts? I love how these candies make for a bright and colorful subject to photograph.
