Survivor Africa Winner Ethan Zohn pinggs for Charity:

pingg: Ethan Zohn Charity Invite
We created pingg so that hosts could use it for planning everything from dinner parties to business function, even charity events, which is exactly what Ethan Zohn, winner of Survivor Africa, and his Grassroot Soccer Charity did.
Zohn, who committed to dribble a soccer ball on a 550-mile journey from Boston to Washington D.C in order to raise awareness for AIDS, made a stop along the way in New Jersey to host a fundraiser and that’s where pingg came in.
For the event, the charity created a custom invitation, selecting a unique image from pingg Plus+ (a soccer ball on a field of grass) which was perfect for Grassroot Soccer. They then added a YouTube video of Ethan as well as links back to Grassroot Soccer so that guests could RSVP and then make donations all at the same time.
Of course no charity can survive without the generosity of its partners so it was important to Grassroot Soccer that the invitation included partner logos, links to their partners’ websites as well as details on the auction which included autographed guitars from American Idol favorites Daughtry and David Cook.
The day of the event, the charity was able to export their guest list for check in at the door making things simple and easy. Ethan’s Grassroots Soccer Charity event was a success on every level including the custom invitation and event web page. Next time you have a party to plan, Bend it like Zohn and pingg away!
And, of course, congrats to our friend Ethan on all his hard work. Glad we could play a small part in helping support Grassroot Soccer.
