Baseball Is Back!

The weather is starting to get nicer, trees have almost grown all their leaves back, and it seems like ages ago when that pesky ground hog went back into his hole. This can only mean one thing… Baseball Season is back!

Each year, at the start of spring, there is one thing that is always certain, and that is the beginning of the baseball season. Fathers will be taking their sons and daughters to the local ballpark for a catch. Ice cream trucks will be scouring neighborhoods in search of eager youngsters. And most importantly, with the familiar sound of an umpire shouting “PLAY BALL!” the long 162 game MLB season will commence. The steroid scandal and poor economy will not stop people from going out to the ballpark to catch a game. Actually, I’d wager there is nothing more reliable than the baseball season, which is why it is “America’s Past Time.”

While the heated rivalries between the White Sox and the Cubbies and of course the Yankees and Red Sox are good and alive all year round, it is when spring comes that the real fanatics come out to play.  These particular games are never worth missing, so make it easy on yourself and get out your favorite team’s season schedule and invite in advance.  So this year, you’ll be sure to catch all the record breaking, base stealing, World Series fighting, action.
