Celebrate Earth Day!

All year round we are aware of the increasing importance of protecting our environment and for those who don’t always participate, Earth Day is the perfect excuse to do your part.

Every year I participate in a local Earth Day Cleanup and help out my community.  This year I am helping to clean up my hometown’s park by fixing up the garden and planting new plants. It’s a great way to meet the locals and to share in something we all have in common.

If you can’t make it to a cleanup, don’t stress out!  You can do something as small as picking up one undesirable object off the street or preserving energy by shutting off your lights or computer. It’s the small stuff that really adds up.

It is important to remember that one day of cleaning the environment won’t change the world.  But if every day we can take a minute to do something small, we will continue to make our world a better place.
