Savvy Auntie’s Day
This year we’ve added a new “date of note” to our calendar, Savvy Auntie’s Day. We’ve also launched a collection of flower invitations and ecards, the symbol of the day. Now you may be asking yourself, “What is Savvy Auntie’s day?” Our friend Melanie Notkin, the ultra savvy founder of SavvyAuntie.com tells us more.
Give a Flower this Savvy Auntie’s Day!
She’s a sister or best friend; she adores the children in her life and takes every opportunity to shower them with affection, attention and gifts. And children love their auntie, anticipate her arrival and await her bear hugs. Finally, there is a day dedicated to her, Savvy Auntie’s Day, brought to you by the first online community for cool aunts, great aunts, godmothers and all women who love kids - SavvyAuntie.com!
Savvy Auntie’s Day will be celebrated annually on the 4th Sunday of July, starting this year on Sunday, July 26th. On this day—like a Mother’s Day for aunts—aunties, whether she is an Auntie by Relation or Auntie by Choice, and godmothers will be celebrated with activities, gifts and flowers! The official Savvy Auntie’s Day web destination (www.SavvyAuntiesDay.com) features ideas on how parents and nieces, nieces, nephews and godchildren can celebrate their Savvy Auntie and how aunts can pamper and treat themselves.
The symbol of Savvy Auntie’s Day is the flower, inspired by Savvy Auntie’s Founder and CEO, Melanie Notkin, who often wears a brightly colored flower, to the delight of the children in her life. With the special collection of Savvy Auntie’s Day flower-adorned ecards and invites, exclusively available on pingg.com, it’s easy to say thank you to your Savvy Auntie on July 26th.
