Labor Day Weekend

Next time you look at your calendar you might be a little upset to realize the inevitable, summer is drawing to a close. But, no need to pack away your sandals and shades just yet. In what has been a relatively cold summer, the temperature is heating up just in time for Labor Day Weekend.

Many people think of Labor Day Weekend as the last chance to party before summer is over. While I agree, I also like to think of Labor Day Weekend as an opportunity to rehash all the good times I had over the last three months with the people who were responsible for making it that way.

Those memories will be recalled easily and often because personally, I would say I had my best summer to date. One year removed from college, my friends and I decided to rent a house in the Jersey Shore. Don’t get me wrong there is no better place to live than Manhattan, but a summer escape to the Shore was a necessary break from the busy city.

I’ll be making the trip across the bridge one more time for Labor Day Weekend. The highlight of the weekend will be a live Fantasy Football Draft. Having spread out up and down the East Coast after college, it isn’t always easy to get in contact with all of the Draft participants, so I decided to enlist the help of pingg to send them an invitation. Now I know they’ll all make it for the festivities.

This summer was a blast. I can’t even tell you how many times the Black Eyed Peas told me “tonight’s gonna be a good night” and they delivered on that promise. I’m going to make sure my summer ends with a bang and I hope everyone else will as well. Whatever you do, make sure to where white, while you still can, and celebrate the end of summer in style!
