We’re currently seeking submissions for a Brooklyn-themed photography gallery. We’re looking for photos that focus on the allure of the New York borough of Brooklyn. From Coney Island to Greenpoint, the Brooklyn Bridge to Prospect Park, we invite photographers of all skill-levels to submit original photographs taken of Brooklyn that showcase the iconic imagery of the region.

Finalists of the contest will have their work featured in a new pingg photography collection dedicated entirely to Brooklyn and available for use as online invitations and e-cards. The collection will be part of the Designer Series, a curated gallery of original art featuring a select group of independent illustrators, painters and photographers who celebrate and represent pingg’s singular commitment to fine design.

Current Designer Series contributors include Martha Stewart—the icon of stylish living, award-winning photographer Ben Watts and cutting edge graffiti artist Erni Vales, as well as emerging artists Jessica Gonacha, Dallas Shaw and Ashley Mills.

One grand prize winner will receive a Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR digital camera pack that includes a camera case and a one gigabyte xD card – a retail value of $450.

All finalists will receive placement within pingg’s Brooklyn-themed gallery. Each image chosen for the gallery will be accompanied by the photographer’s name, bio and a link to their website.

• Email your photo to brooklyn@pingg.com. Include your name, email address and the location in Brooklyn where your photo was taken.
• For initial review, photos should be no larger than 378 x 522 pixels at 72 ppi.

• Photos must be submitted by July 24th, 2009.
• Finalists will be notified by email on July 30th, 2009.
• From July 30th to August 7th, pingg will invite users to vote on the finalists’ photos.
