pingg Goes After Ticketing Market; Builds Integrated Ticketing Platform
NEW YORK, New York (September 23th, 2011)—pingg (www.pingg.com) announced today the launch of an integrated ticketing platform. The addition of ticketing functionality gives event promoters a streamlined and affordable solution for promoting events, selling tickets and managing all facets of event registration. As a full service solution, this introduces pingg as a player in the growing market of ticketing service providers.
“We saw a growing number of event promoters using pingg for a wide range of events that required ticketing. Events such as small business or education seminars, alumni club get-togethers, and local charity fundraisers,” says pingg Lorien Gabel, CEO and Co-Founder. “We looked at partnering with existing ticketing services but decided the user experience benefited from a more streamlined solution. Our developers were up for the challenge so we let them run with it. They delivered.”
The new service integrates a simple process for selling tickets into the event invitation and RSVP process. Guests attending an event purchase tickets through the event registration page and receive tickets via email. They can print tickets or save them to their online profile. Each ticket includes a unique number and QR code to allow for secure registration of attendees at the event.
Ticket sales and communications with attendees are tracked through the event promoter’s dashboard. All funds are collected through PayPal’s secure transaction system and ticket revenue is deposited directly into the event promoter’s PayPal account. Unlike other ticketing providers, pingg does not take a percentage of ticket revenue but instead charges a flat fee of $1 per ticket.
pingg’s bread and butter is its invitation design and event registration platform. Event promoters can personalize their invitation templates either by uploading their own design or by choosing from thousands of artist-designed templates. The ability to send a customized invitation design will further market their event and generate ticket sales.
