Ashley DeVrieze is the painter behind Stubborn Dog Artwork. Originally from Rock Island, IL, she is currently based in Omaha, NE, where she works as an educator and artist. Her real target with crafting and art is to create things that make people smile.
more »Ashley works predominantly with watercolor and ink, illustrating little adventures for her silly Old English Sheepdog, Scout, as well as a troupe of other characters. Painting gives her a chance to celebrate everyday moments, from summer bouquets to backyard sparrows. She also works with canvas and acrylic, where she can stretch out her ideas about color, texture, shape, and movement.
When she's not painting she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, hiking, camping, sipping peppermint mochas, and exploring new music.
