Carlyle double majored in Art History and Economics at Smith College and studied the craft of painting at New York University, the Art Student League in N.Y.C., and the School of Visual Arts in N.Y.C. Although an artist since early childhood, Carlyle turned to art as a profession after an six-year career in international sales and marketing. Her quasi-abstract nature paintings are inspired by travels to thirty-five countries.
Widely exhibited in New York City, she is represented by Ceres Gallery in Chelsea, Manhattan. In Europe, her work has been shown in London and Paris with Arlev Art. In the Virgin Islands she is represented by Walsh Metalworks Gallery.
