In addition to being an artist, Leigh has been a Makeup Artist for over eight years. It is this skill that enables her better understand the structure of her subjects' faces and to capture their shape so effortlessly, which ultimately carries out into her work.

Leigh is most inspired while looking at photographs, reading, listening to music and lyrics or immersing herself in a good movie. She enjoys combining her inspiration with a memory from her own life and ultimately the work flows from there. She needs to be inspired and draw upon personal feelings in order to create.

In addition to drawing, painting and photographing, Leigh often keeps busy sewing up little designs from screen-printed pillows to dresses to bags, anything she can create with her hands and mind.
