Butinski Designs
I believe there is an artist in all of us. From people who design homes to landscape design to the teacher who comes up with creative ways to teach children. I want to continue to nurture the artist in myself and create fun and upbeat designs.
more »As long as I can remember I wanted to be a business person. In my early twenties I was off and running. I quickly got into medical sales then moving into pharmaceutical and medical recruiting. I opened my own agency in 2002. In 2006 is when it all changed! I was diagnosed with advanced Colon-rectal cancer. I went through over a year of treatment. I was declared cancer free in the summer of 2007. Somewhere during this time I changed. I believe it was the day I had to tell my family I had cancer. I fell into the greeting card business by accident. My friend another cancer survivor wanted to make some sassy cards for cancer patients, families and survivors. We started with a card “chemo is not for sissies” and “hip hip hooray no more radiation.” Butinski has evolved from cards for cancer patients to invitations and embellished cards for all occasions. I want all of our designs to be sweet with fun colors. Most importantly the card must put a smile on the recipients face. In one short year Butinski was nominated for a Louie Award by the greeting card association. I believe there is an artist in all of us. It may take a bump in the road to bring it out. I am now a business person growing and learning in a business I never dreamed of! I live and work in Newburyport MA. Our cards are sold in stores and on-line at www.butinski.com
