Some say that all good things must come to an end. And sadly for once it’s true. The bachelor pad at 4403 7th St is being put on the market at the end of the year and now we have to find another respectable place to live. You know, a place without a portion of the drywall missing since the landlady wants to check the structurally integrity of the building and forgot to cover it back up. Or punched in by a fist trying to underscore a roommates love for another roommate. Or a yellow crayon wall painting consisting of a hand trace in the shape of a turkey.
But fear not - we’re going out with a bang! It’s time for folks to make their way to that magical place called Ballston (you know, that part of Northern Virginia that DC folks pretend doesn’t exist) for the third annual Holiday Party at 4403 (there are too many nicknames for the place that are far too crass for everyone’s virgin eyes reading this invite).
So come help send off the current residences of 4403 in a festive Holiday manner. How festive can this Holiday party get you ask? Well, for starters, former residents of 4403 also saddened by news of the big move will be flying in as far from Dallas for this Holiday extravaganza. You can celebrate the eighth night of the festival on lights by spilling some more alcohol, I mean color, on the multi-hued carpets. You can also rejoice in the birth of Christ like I did by showing off some pretty sick dance moves that ended up getting my foot stuck in the wall last year. Or just angrily grumble like the atheist you are that religion is a clutch for the weak while still somehow managing to feel warm and fuzzy all over with Holiday cheer (wait –that might be the alcohol).
And if that’s not enough reason to get your Holiday swerve on, prepare yourself for the usual Holiday party fun at 4403 by partaking in:
- An ugly sweater contest! Judged by Domo, the top three sweaters will get a gift. For inspiration, last year’s winning sweater had Rudolph and his “blue balls” lit up by Christmas lights.
- Holiday song power hour starting at 9 PM!
As with the last two holiday parties, there will be a Christmas tree, and we ask you to help decorate it if you haven't in the past. Think of it as a guest book and a way to sign off for all the good times had at 4403. Previous guests' ornaments will be strung up again, but for all the first-timers, or those who forgot last time, please bring an ornament to hang up as a memento on the Christmas tree!
