Laundry Workers Center is a not-for-profit membership led-organization based in New York and New Jersey. Our members are primarily low-income laundry and food service workers who believe in social and economic justice. Our main goal is help to improve the laundry and food service industries and the working conditions of the workers and their families. Last year, LWC helped to organize the workers at the Hot and Crusty Bakey and after 11 months of organizing the workers created their own workers association with paid sick days, union hiring hall, paid vacation and a grivance process. On February 16, 2013 we would like to invite to celebrate this inspiring and groundbreaking victory. Please Join US!
