Nirvana II “Thumb Boats” information.
I just came across a Channel 8 News brief from San Diego that I thought you would like:

I have had a lot of people interested in the Nirvana II boat when they come down on Friday evening to watch the racing. Since there are way more boats that YC member have than ever come down to race I figured there had to be some used ones collecting dust that could be exchanged for cash. So far people interested in selling their used boats are collecting about $100 for them. Radio working or not. If the radio has already been upgraded to the 2.4 gHz then usually $200. If you are interested in selling your boat you can respond here with a yes. A brand new one with a Chinese radio is still $200. With the upgraded 2.4 system it would be about $300. I think anywhere from $75 to $125 for a boat should be fair.
I have also been asked to help get a couple of boats in working order. Sometimes that means new electronics and sometimes it is a frozen rudder. If you are interested in racing but the boat is not stellar we can discuss getting a group together and working on it. I will ask Don Shirley, Damon Kunkle and Eric Conn to see if they are interested in assisting, as they are all pretty familiar with these boats.
RADIO: If new radio is needed then the 2.4 is the way to go. You could get one for $110 or less with a receiver. I like the Spektrum DX5e (mode2). This you can get with reciever most places for about $99. There are cheaper systems but I do not know how to program them.
Servos: If you need a steering servo it is a Standard and will cost about $10. If you need a Sail Servo it is a high Torque and usually runs about $40.
Rudder post rusted: The rudder post will rust. It is inserted in a brass tube that you can get at hobby or hardware store. You will have to force the post and brass out of the plastic boat, carefully remove the tube which will be trashed so do not worry too much about it, lightly sand the post to remove rust. The new tube can be put back into place with epoxy or CA glue then use a nice thin grease on the post. I have some dielectric grease which will work nice if you need.
If you need parts for the boat, hatch cover, sails, rudder, Keel. You can go to:
(link) you will need to ask Steve Lang how much the parts are.
