Workshop Schedule:
12:30 -1:15 Solidifying the physical foundation plus warm up routine for the mind/body. Incorporating the techniques of other dance forms, you will learn a series of exercises that will develop balance, control and strength.1:15 - 2:00 Maximizing balance and alignment without a partner (includes flexibility, extension, and turn technique).2:00 - 2:15 Break2:15 – 3:00 Finding line and counterbalance within your body. Explore the use of energy, space, expression and focus.3:00 - 3:30 Coffee & Pastry Break3:30 - 4:15 Tuning into physical sensation within the body, tracking the feeling of balanced and integrated movement to recreate it with ease every time you dance. Understanding how your experience of moving relates to your partner and to the greater visual picture within the performance setting. 4:15 – 4:30 Break
4:30 – 5:15 Developing your identity as a female dancer. Expand the creative potential in your dance practice as you learn to communicate character and emotion through movement.
5:15 – 5:45 Question & Answer.5;45 – 6:00 Short walk to Samba, Taste of Brazil.6:00 - 7:30 Dinner with dance talk.
