1st round starts at 9:15 am (Scholastic) & at 9:30 am (Open)
PLAYING FORMAT:
- Scholastic: 5SS G/30 – 5 sec. delay; If 5th round does not start by 12:30 PM, then 5th round will not be played.
- Open: 4SS G/30 – 5 sec. delay
PRIZES:
- Scholastic: Ribbons for top 5 of each section- Open: 1st place 60% of entry fees, 2nd place 20%, Top U1400 10%
ENTRY FEE (cash only):
Scholastic: $3.00; Open: $1/each 100 rating points rounded down to nearest 100. Minimum entry fee of $5.
PLEASE PRE-REGISTER through your coach or by sending email to registration@WinChesster.com . Send your your name, USCF #, grade, school name, section of play, and phone #. Or call 859-749-2503. Open section players should send only name and USCF #.
OTHER INFO.:
The sections are Open, K3, K5, K8 and K12. Please bring chess sets and clocks if you have them.
USCF membership is required and is available with $3 savings (at check-in, or website, or call 859-749-2503). No paid membership is
required with players in K3 section. Check-in/registrations from 8:00 until 8:45 AM; All sections will be rated by the USCF.
WINCHESTER SCHOLASTIC CHESS LEAGUE:
This league is open to all chess teams and individuals in and out of Winchester/Clark County.
