About Ellen:
Ann Richards' youngest daughter, Ellen, chairs the advisory board to help support a school for young women leaders that's named after the former governor. She was named to replace her mother as head of the board by Austin Independent School District Superintendent Pat Forgione.
  
Ann Richards helped plan for the school in the months before she died, noted a statement from those carrying on the work.
